Overview

rothiracalculators.com ("we", "our", "the Site") is built to be private by design. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the Site, how it is handled, and the rights you have. The short version: your financial inputs never leave your device, we require no account, and we never sell your data. The Site is supported by advertising, which is described in section 3.

1. Your calculator inputs stay in your browser

Because this is a financial site, this deserves to come first. Everything you enter into our tools — income, filing status, account balances, ages, contribution amounts, growth assumptions — is processed entirely in your browser by JavaScript. These values are:

• never transmitted to our servers or any third party
• never stored, logged, or associated with you in any way
• gone as soon as you close or reload the tab.

We cannot see, recover, or share your financial details, because they never reach us.

2. Information we collect

You do not need an account, login, or email address to use the Site. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard, non-identifying server logs for security and operational purposes such as:

• pages requested and approximate visit time;
• browser type and operating system
• referring website or search engine
• IP address, as part of ordinary web traffic handling.

3. Cookies, local storage

We use your browser's localStorage to remember your light/dark theme preference between visits that setting stays on your device and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's site data for rothiracalculators.com.

4. The contact form

If you choose to write to us through the  Contact Us page, the name, email address, and message you submit are delivered to our inbox via FormSubmit, a form-relay service, and are used solely to respond to you. Please do not include sensitive personal or financial information (such as Social Security numbers or account numbers) in a message. We never need it. This is the only feature on the Site where information you type is transmitted anywhere.

5. Third-party services and links

The third-party services used on the Site are Google AdSense for advertising (section 3) and FormSubmit for contact-form delivery (section 4). We do not embed social media widgets or any other third-party trackers. The Site links to external resources primarily official IRS publications for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites and we encourage you to review their policies.

6. Data retention

We store no personal data on our servers. Hosting access logs, where retained by our provider are kept only as long as needed to diagnose technical issues and secure the Site. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

7. Children's privacy

The Site is an educational tool about retirement accounts and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 and because we collect no personal information from any visitor through the tools themselves. The Site is consistent with COPPA by design.

8. Your rights

Because we do not collect identifiable personal data through the calculators there is typically nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you have contacted us by email and would like that correspondence deleted, just ask.

• European Economic Area / UK: you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
• California: we do not sell personal information. Personalized advertising cookies set by Google may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out using the advertising controls described in section 3 or your browser's Global Privacy Control signal.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
